Erin L. Young
 

Erin L. Young is a 1998 graduate of the University of Delaware, where she majored in English with a concentration in Business and Technical Writing and minored in Political Science. Upon graduating from college, Erin attended Widener University School of Law in Delaware, where she received her Juris Doctorate and was awarded the Certificate of Achievement in Professional Responsibility.

Since joining the firm of Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, LLP in 2003, Erin has worked solely in the field of workers’ compensation defense, and has devoted her practice to zealously representing the interests of self-insured employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Erin has won numerous cases and has extensive experience before Workers’ Compensation Judges, the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board and Commonwealth Court. She has also negotiated countless favorable settlements on behalf of her clients. It is Erin’s goal to get the best possible result for her clients, whether by aggressively litigating a case to Decision, or determining if settlement is the best option for limiting her client’s exposure.

Erin is a member of the Delaware County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. Erin also serves as an arbitrator for civil disputes in Delaware County, and has been named a Rising Star in Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation by the Super Lawyers section of Philadelphia Magazine since 2008.
