Kile Sherman is a summa cum laude graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where she earned a B.A. in History.  While in college, Kile captained the school’s Women’s Rugby team, and served as a copy editor on the College Newspaper. 

 

Following her undergraduate education, Kile attended the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree in May of 2016.  While in law school, Kile was an Articles Editor for the Penn State Law Review and worked as a Research Assistant to Associate Professor Adam Muchmore.  Outside of the classroom, Kile clerked for Chief Judge Eric Frank at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Philadelphia, interned with the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office, and externed with Judge D. Brooks Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. 

 

Prior to joining Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, Kile served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable President Judge Carol L. Van Horn of the Court of Common Pleas in Franklin and Fulton Counties of Pennsylvania.  During her two-year clerkship, Kile assisted with Judge Van Horn’s entire caseload, conducted research in relevant procedural and substantive issues to facilitate each docket’s continued progression, attended various motion hearings, and observed jury and bench trials. 

 

Kile is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.  She joined Carpenter, McCadden & Lane in February of 2019.
