Overview

Kelsey L. Knish concentrates her practice on the representation and defense of insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout New Jersey, appearing regularly before Judges of Compensation for virtual and in-person court proceedings. She manages every aspect of the claim from inception to resolution, developing effective litigation strategies and case resolution plans for her clients by assessing issues of compensability, insurance coverage, medical and legal causation, permanency, and exposure. Kelsey also draws on her experience representing insurance carriers in a variety of complex insurance coverage matters involving issues of general liability, professional liability, commercial property liability, and environmental liability.

During her time at Drexel University Kline Schoof of Law, Kelsey represented clients in misdemeanor bench trials and preliminary hearings in Philadelphia Municipal Court as a certified legal intern with the Defender Association of Philadelphia. She also worked as a law clerk for a general practice law firm, gaining experience in personal injury and commercial litigation, and she interned at the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office where she assisted attorneys on trial preparation. Kelsey was also a competing member of the law school’s Moot Court Board. Prior to attending law school, Kelsey obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities).
